Real Life is a Game.

Everyone in their childhood or any other stages of life might have thought that how would be their life if they were in their favorite game or some kind of T.V. show. People imagine every detail about it and even the characters that belong to their concern. This is a fantasy life which would have been lived atleast once by everyone in their childhood. And some people even try to live by that fantasy. What if I tell you that our real life is also a game? Let’s talk about it.

Real life can also be related to the life of virtual gaming. The biggest difference and the loophole in real life and game life is that in games we have a remote controller in our hands to control the game and the characters in it. While in real life, we have a controller but it isn’t in our hands always. It’s inside us and sometimes we hand it over to someone else to control our lives.

The health we get in games is actually the life span we have. The allies we make in games are our real life friends and the people who support us. This difference remains that when we die in a game, we may get revived and play again while that is not the case in real life. Once the life is gone, its over.

Everyone craves for that one button we are provided in games. That is the “Restart” button. Everyone wants to start their life again and go into the childhood again. But unfortunately its not possible because there is no restart button in real life. No doubt whenever we want, we can start our life again with something new and some innovations we wished to make in our own life. But it won’t be possible to go back in life and get that time of childhood or any stage of life you wish to live again and make some changes in present life.

People say that once the time is gone, those things or situations can’t be brought back in life or lived again. But it is not true. There are no situations which cannot be brought back. It just requires some efforts and hard work. Even a senior citizen can live their life like a child. I am not talking about living it from the body but from the mind. Life is always beautiful when you live it with your heart.

You might not realise, but real life is a game of strategy. There are some fun mini-games like dancing, driving, running, and love – but the key to winning is simply managing your resources.

Most importantly, successful players put their time into the right things. Later in the game money comes into play, but your top priority should always be mastering where your time goes.

Willpower is one of the most important thing we require to get successful in this game of life. Once a person has lost the willpower, the life becomes very tough and difficult to live with.

There are various tricks to keep your behavior in line:

  1. Keep your state high. If you’re hungry, exhausted, or utterly deprived of fun, your willpower will collapse. Ensure you take consistently good care of yourself.
  2. Don’t demand too much willpower from one day. Spread your most demanding tasks over multiple days, and mix them in with less demanding ones.
  3. Attempt the most important tasks first. This makes other tasks more difficult, but makes your top task more likely.
  4. Reduce the need to use willpower by reducing choices. If you’re trying to work on a computer that can access Facebook, you’ll need more willpower because you’re constantly choosing the hard task over the easy one. Eliminate such distractions.

Live life to the fullest and give your heart in anything and life would be like a game to you. You would be able to feel that life was never so easy and it couldn’t even get any easier.

Life is a bed of roses. You get the smell, the softness and with that you even have to take the thorns of the roses. Life cannot be lived without the ups and downs.

Never give the control of your life in anyone else’s hands or else you would find that your game would never be on the right track instead it would always move in the wrong direction and you would end up being a failure. So, always play your own game of life.

Great article. There is really a lot of similarities in a game and life and it is a sad fact that life cannot be rewinded or restarted. Loved the way you presented the articles with interesting examples. Keep up the good work…
